Best Buddies Talent Show

Sophomore John Whip and senior Jamey Capolupo perform a rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" from "The Wizard of Oz" at the Best Buddies Talent Show, which allowed students enrolled in the Best Buddies program to show of their skills through singing, jokes, skits and dances.

Pulsera Project Bracelet Sale

Members of the Pulsera Project club held a pulsera sale today. The club, which was founded by senior Mandy Patterson, raises money by to support poor children living in Nicaragua by selling the pulseras ("pulsera" means "bracelet" in Spanish) at Conestoga.

Handel's hosts fundraiser for Jay Raffetto

Handel's Ice Cream in Berwyn hosted a fundraiser on Monday night to benefit a wounded veteran who graduated Conestoga in 2000, Jay Raffetto. Raffetto was injured while serving in Afghanistan and this week, Conestoga and the community is raising money for his family.
Many Conestoga students came out to Handel's tonight, which was donating 20% of all proceeds to the cause.

Power Down Day

Freshman Kiera Norford helps out at the Greening Stoga Task Force table. This month's "Power Down Day" theme was conserving water bottles, so the club sold reusable water bottles in addition to t-shirts, tote bags, and other merchandise.

The Spoke supports "The Scout"

On March 31, members of The Spoke staff pledged to support "The Scout," a student newspaper in Colorado who is facing the possibility of closure after they published an article exposing the death of a classmate.

Floor Hockey Tournament

Students of all skill levels came out tonight to Day 1 of the floor hockey tournament. Thirteen teams with six players each faced off against each other to determine which male and female teams would face off against the winners of tomorrow night's tournament, where eleven other teams will face off in the same way, on April 15. The finals for the pickleball tournament will also be held the same day.
